What Personal Información Do We Keep and Why Do We Keep It?

If you upload images from the web, you should avoid uploading images that excludes location data (GPS EXIF). Visitors can download and extract any location data from uploaded images.

How long do we save your information?

When users register to our website, we also store all personal information that you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or eliminate their personal information at any time (except for their user name). Website administrators can also see and edit this information.

If you have an account or you have left a comment on this platform, you can ask us for an exportation archive of all personal information about you we have stored. This includes all information you have given us. You can also ask us to eliminate any personal data we have saved from your profile and posts. Data Disclosure Regulations and Requirements.

Once a story is voluntarily submitted to publishing by each user, the Untold Story team may make use of that story, including any images, video, audio, and other components, in associated outputs in various media and formats (e.g. in collaborations with museums, documentary makers, print-on-demand books, etc). All such projects will be not-for-profit and will attribute the authorship of the story (username) when one exists. We will contact and ask permission from users, when possible, before using any material. The Archive is covered under the Creative Commons License (CC BY-NC 3.0).
